The Welfare Pension is a financial assistance scheme implemented through the Local Self-Government Department and various Welfare Fund Boards to ensure financial security for people belonging to different sections of society in Kerala. Pension Categories and Eligibility Criteria

The various pension schemes available through the Panchayat and their eligibility criteria are as follows:

Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension

A monthly pension for eligible senior citizens aged 60 years and above, subject to the prescribed conditions.

A pension provided to widowed women to ensure financial security and support.
