1. Governing Body Consisting of Elected Representatives

🔹 Grama Panchayat President

The President is the chief executive head of the Panchayat. They lead the developmental activities and administrative procedures of the Panchayat.

🔹 Vice President

Provides full cooperation to the President in administrative activities. In the absence of the President, the Vice President assumes and executes the administrative responsibilities of the Panchayat.

🔹 Grama Panchayat Committee

This is the primary governing body consisting of the elected representatives. This committee controls the entire development and administrative affairs of the Panchayat.

👥 Standing Committees

These are specialized committees that control and monitor functions like development, finance, health, and education within the Panchayat:

Development Standing CommitteeImplements the development projects of the Panchayat. It aims at public welfare and infrastructure development.
Finance Standing CommitteeControls the income and expenditure of the Panchayat. It oversees the budget and financial records.
Health and Education Standing CommitteeRegulates and improves health and educational activities within the Panchayat limits.
Welfare Standing CommitteeImplements public welfare schemes. It aims at social security and welfare activities for marginalized sections.
Other Sub-CommitteesCommittees formed for activities in specific sectors. They provide the necessary support for various projects.

2. Administrative Staff (Official Personnel)

Employees who work to legally implement the decisions of the governing body and to ensure the smooth handling of the day-to-day affairs of the office:

💼 Panchayat Secretary

The Secretary is the chief administrative officer of the Panchayat. They coordinate office operations, file procedures, and official administrative management.

💼 Assistant Secretary

Provides the necessary assistance for the administrative and office operations of the Panchayat. Additionally, acts as the Member Secretary of  Kudumba shree and coordinates various welfare schemes. They also hold the executive responsibility for Scheduled Caste (SC) Development programs.

💼 Head Clerk

The official who supervises the day-to-day office operations of the Panchayat. They coordinate file movements and the functioning of various office sections, while providing supervision and control over staff activities.

💼 Accountant

The official who controls the financial transactions and accounts of the Panchayat. They accurately prepare and maintain income and expenditure statements. They are also responsible for managing the budget, taxes, and financial documents.

💼 Senior Clerk

An employee who supervises office records and administrative procedures. They coordinate the operations of various office sections and manage the scrutiny and processing of major files.

💼 Clerk

An employee who handles the files and records of the Panchayat. They manage tax collection, public applications, and office registers. Additionally, they perform ward-level duties and service delivery.

💼 Office Attendant

Provides necessary assistance for the day-to-day office operations of the Panchayat. They perform tasks such as transferring files and documents, organizing the office environment, and general office assistance support.

🌾 1. Grama Sabha (The Foundation of the Panchayat)

The Grama Sabha is the official general body meeting of the people in the Panchayat. It is where development projects, public demands, and welfare activities are directly discussed and proposals are decided. It represents the grassroots-level assembly of democracy.
